Our neighbors to the north have a worthwhile and reasonably priced program ….

This one day workshop is sponsored by the North Carolina Preservation Consortium for the North Carolina State Historical Records Advisory Board and North Carolina State Archives with funding from the National Historical Publications and Records Commission.

Through presentations, discussion, and scenarios participants will learn to:

 

o   identify risks to collections

o   use mitigation to reduce risks

o   prioritize collections

o   establish disaster teams

o   respond to emergencies  

o   assess damages

o   use effective crisis communication

o   address health and safety issues

o   organize supplies and equipment

o   identify disaster resources

o   select appropriate salvage methods
